RSVP form
For weddings, birthdays, dinners and team events where you invite people rather than sell tickets. Replies land in your sheet with a yes or no and the number of people coming, so the caterer gets one number instead of a guess.
Copies the form into your account after you sign in with Google. You can change anything before publishing.

Columns in your Google Sheet
Each response becomes one row with these columns.

What this form asks, and why
- Your namerequired So you can tick replies off against your guest list.
- Will you be there?required A clear no is as useful as a yes: you stop waiting and can invite someone else.
- How many people in total, including you?required 'Including you' removes the most common counting error. Written as a number, so it can be summed.
- Names of everyone coming with you, and any meal needs Place cards and the door list need names, and 'Sam (vegan)' tells the caterer who gets what.
- Meal needs in your group Flags which replies need special meals; the names box says who each one is for.
- Email for updates Optional: a change of venue or time needs a way to reach people.
- A note for the hosts Guests like to say something, and it keeps notes out of the meal answers.
Fields people often add
- Song request
- Arrival time or transport needs
- Which events (ceremony, reception)
Common mistakes
- Asking 'how many guests?': some people count themselves and some don't. Say 'in total, including you'.
- Summing the whole party column: on a second tab, use SUMIFS to add up party sizes only where the answer is 'Yes, I'll be there'.
- Counting people who replied twice: sort by name or email and keep the latest _submitted_at, because the newer reply is the one that stands.
- No 'can't make it' option: silence then means nothing, and you chase everyone before the deadline.
